Ayurvedic
nutrition education teaches you how to work with your specific
constitution and your current condition, using easily obtainable
foods and herbs. It is based on Ayurveda, the ancient science
of healing from India, adapted for modern life here in the
world. You can make major changes in your life with food,
herbs, and simple shifts in life style choices. Over the
years I have seen hundreds of people do this. As you get
more in tune with yourself, your needs, and nature, you can
have more peace of mind, perspective, calm, and energy. This
is definitely possible, for a wide range of people and conditions.
Mother Nature does not go on strike for any disease. She
is available; it's simply that we've often forgotten how
to contact her. Using a wide variety of foods and life style
practices specifically suited to you, you can learn to work
more effectively with nature to get in balance.
As an
Ayurvedic educator and polarity therapist, I have written
a number of books to help people learn more about how to
care for themselves, fix healthy foods, and use herbs skillfully
and safely. These include:
*
The
Ayurvedic Guide to Polarity Therapy: a self-care guide (2002)
*
Ayurvedic
Cooking for Westerners (1995)
*
The
Ayurvedic Cookbook with Urmila Desai (1990)
*
