AMADEA MORNINGSTAR

Testimonials Ayurvedic Nutrition
four season certification course:

I am enjoying this Ayurvedic information so much! I see it changing my teaching in a nice organic way that feels more holistic.
Manjula Spears, Integral Yoga teacher, teacher trainer, and therapist

I currently have the privilege of participating in Amadea’s four-season workshop on Ayurvedic Nutrition and Polarity Therapy. I am a newcomer to Ayurveda and knew nothing about Polarity Therapy when I signed up. My reasons for joining the class were a growing appreciation for Amadea’s skill and art, based on the nutritional work she has done with my daughter, and a desire to learn more about Ayurveda.

Amadea brings a lively spirit, humor and compassion to her teaching, as well as a deep embodied knowledge of Ayurveda. The design of the course and her teaching style complement and illustrate the principles she teaches. Class begins and ends with chanting and dedicating the work to the nourishment of all beings, so the spiritual element holds all the others. Gentle yoga moves us into an awareness of our bodies, addressing each of  the dhatus. We calm and collect ourselves, ready to learn.

Lectures are informative and Amadea invites participation, asking students for examples that illustrate principles and welcoming our questions. Lectures are followed by cooking demonstrations and hands-on polarity exercises, varying the rhythm of the day to keep us awake and present.

Amadea’s knowledge is extensive and her teaching is skillful, joyful, and compassionate.

Cooking with Amadea has been a beautiful experience. I have been taking her Ayurvedic Nutrition course in Santa Fe, which I have been flying in from Los Angeles to take. Having had the opportunity to be out in a vegetable garden with her has been so enriching in my life, we picked our vegetables....Amadea was hands on showing us how to cut and handle the food with love. Cooking while chanting and putting all that Prana in the food I believe made the meal fulfilling and delicious. I learned a lot about how to cook, chop, and actually just let it all go, surrender and trust it will be good because we know where it came from, what went into it.... all the precious herbs and spices and the love. She is informative and her knowledge of cooking and Ayurveda resonates around her.

Amadea thoroughly enjoys sharing her love and knowledge of Ayurvedic cooking with those who are eager to learn.  There is joy in the kitchen when she is present.  Cooking with her was a very special experience.  I look forward to more classes in the future.
